With our contribution to the costs of residency, we are helping to bring a piece of Carinthian art history back to life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The story behind it is emotionally moving: during the demolition of the former psychiatric building at Klagenfurt Hospital, a mosaic by the renowned artist Karl Bauer &#8211; known for his Kreuzbergl mosaics in Klagenfurt &#8211; was almost irretrievably destroyed. But at the last second, a large part of the material was saved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to the tireless efforts of Dr Oberlerchner, once head of psychiatry, and the talented mosaic artist Angela Zimek (Angela Zimek Graphic &amp; Mosaic), the work of art is now being given a second chance.
